Botulinum toxin against wrinkles
Wrinkles are caused by random and involuntary contraction of muscles in the face that are responsible for the mimicry (expression) of the face. A wrinkle is a natural symptom of aging.
The most important wrinkles are the forehead wrinkles, the frown lines (between the eyebrows) and the crow’s feet (on either side of the eyes). When the face is relaxed, few wrinkles will be visible, but when talking or just listening intently, deep wrinkles in the forehead and between the eyebrows can become visible. With frequent laughter, wrinkles form next to the eyes.
Almost all facial wrinkles can be treated with botulinum toxin injections.
